FAQ

Chartering a yacht

What is APA?

APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is an advance payment that covers fuel, food, beverages, berthing fees and other running costs during the charter. It is typically 25–30% of the charter fee. The captain logs every expense and any remaining balance is refunded at the end of the trip.

What is included in the yacht charter price?

The charter fee generally includes the weekly hire of the yacht, professional crew services, domestic water and the yacht’s insurance. Fuel, provisions and port fees are covered separately through the APA. Inclusions can vary from yacht to yacht.

When is the best time to charter a yacht in Türkiye?

The charter season runs from May to October. July and August are the busiest months; May, June, September and October offer warm seas, pleasant temperatures and quieter anchorages.

What is a gulet?

A gulet is a traditional wooden motorsailer built in the shipyards of Bodrum and Bozburun. Spacious decks, en-suite cabins and an experienced crew make it the classic choice for a Turkish “blue cruise” with family or friends.
