FAQ

Chartering a yacht

What is APA?

APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is an advance payment that covers fuel, food, beverages, berthing fees and other running costs during the charter. It is typically 25–30% of the charter fee. The captain logs every expense and any remaining balance is refunded at the end of the trip.

What is included in the yacht charter price?

The charter fee generally includes the weekly hire of the yacht, professional crew services, domestic water and the yacht’s insurance. Fuel, provisions and port fees are covered separately through the APA. Inclusions can vary from yacht to yacht.

When is the best time to charter a yacht in Türkiye?

The charter season runs from May to October. July and August are the busiest months; May, June, September and October offer warm seas, pleasant temperatures and quieter anchorages.

What is a gulet?

A gulet is a traditional wooden motorsailer built in the shipyards of Bodrum and Bozburun. Spacious decks, en-suite cabins and an experienced crew make it the classic choice for a Turkish “blue cruise” with family or friends.

How is the itinerary planned? Can we add our own stops?

Itineraries are shaped by the captain’s experience and your preferences. We happily add the stops you request whenever weather and sea conditions allow, and our team can design a tailor-made route before you embark.

Is a yacht charter suitable for children and pets?

A blue cruise is a wonderful family holiday: yachts carry safety equipment and crews are used to hosting young guests — catamarans are especially spacious and stable. Pet policies vary by yacht, so please ask us before booking.
