Darwin Class 86 “Empire” – The Ultimate 26m Explorer by Cantiere delle Marche

M/Y Empire is a 26.3-metre Darwin Class 86 built by Cantiere delle Marche and designed by Hydro Tec, representing the pinnacle of CdM’s explorer yacht philosophy. Combining robust engineering, refined Italian design, and long-range autonomy, Empire has been created for adventurous owners seeking comfort and reliability in all seas.

Constructed with a reinforced AH36 steel hull and equipped with an ice belt and bulletproof plating at the owner’s request, Empire is capable of navigating high-latitude regions and remote destinations with total confidence. Her technical package includes twin Scania engines, three Northern Lights generators, SeaTorque shaft system, and ABT-TRAC stabilizers, ensuring smooth operation and exceptional efficiency at sea.

Every element of Empire has been carefully designed for autonomy and safety, including a citadel in the engine room, fourth pilot station, independent radio post, and a GOST anti-intrusion system. The yacht also features a 180 kWh battery pack, enabling silent overnight stays without the use of generators.

Her interiors, designed by Alessandro Massari, embody understated elegance. Warm tones, custom furnishings, and accents from Poltrona Frau and Poliform create a contemporary and welcoming atmosphere. The full-beam owner’s suite is complemented by a forward VIP cabin and two twin guest cabins with Pullman berths, accommodating up to 10 guests. Crew quarters for four are located forward on the main deck, providing excellent privacy and functionality.

Social areas are generous and thoughtfully designed. The main deck features a bright salon and dining area connected to a spacious aft cockpit, while the upper deck hosts a panoramic gym/lounge opening onto a furnished terrace.
