The LOUNGE 40 does not conceive th main deck as a simple sequence of salon, cockpit and terrace. Instead, it brings them together within a single, continuous architectural space shaped around light, views and a direct connection with the sea.

The result is an environment that can evolve throughout the day: fully open, partially sheltered, or fully enclosed and climate-controlled, while maintaining its identity and exceptional quality of life.

The exterior design of LOUNGE 40 bears the signature of Fulvio De Simoni. The profile is defined by a balance of proportions, glazed surfaces and spatial organization. Every formal choice serves a perceise purpose: to maximize natural light, enhance the perception of space and create a direct ralationship between the interior spaces, outdoor decks and the sea.

Outdoor living is not simply a collection of outdoor decks, but a sequence of interconnected spaces. Seven areas, distributed across three levels, are designed to accompany every moment of the day: from swimming and relaxing close to the water to socializing, from dining to panoramic cruising, and through to the management of tenders and water toys.

The aft platform is where the yacht meets the sea directly. The generous side platforms provide easy access to the water and facilitate water activitis, while the central Jacuzzi introduces a more private and contemplative dimension. Not simply a passageway, but a true terrace over the water to be enjoyed throughout the day.

The cockpit is the link between the salon and the sea. Its sheltered position allows for outdoor living with greater protection, while the bar area naturally serves both the interior and exterior spaces. Conversation, aperitifs and informal moments unfold seamlessly in continuity with the main salon and the aft platform.

The full-beam configuration is, therefore, not simply a dimensional choice, but the principle that enables a more open, free-flowing and immersive experience. With six sliding glass doors opening on each side and no thresholds in the floor, the boundaries of the salon disappear. The main salon, cockpit and platform are perceived as one large continuous space extending from the interior of the yacht all the way to the sea.

When the glazing is closed, the main salon maintains the same connection with the outdoors through natural light and uninterrupted views. The space becomes sheltered and climate-controlled, without losing the open character that defines the design. LOUNGE 40 thus offers the same quality of life across different seasons, climates and cruising conditions.

The upper deck veranda is a second large, transformable living space. With the glazing open, it becomes a panoramic terrace dedicated to socialising and dining; when closed, it provides a sheltered, climate-controlled space that can be enjoyed in every season. Two different configurations, without compromising natural light, views or the direct connection with the horizon.

The sun deck is the yacht’s most private level: a panoramic environment, free from the main operational functions and designed for relaxation. Sunbathing areas, seating and shaded spaces allow guests to alternate between sun and shelter, while always maintaining unobstructed views of the sea and greater privacy than on the other decks.

The large foredeck combines operational capability with high-quality living space. Approximately 25 m² can accommodate a 5-metre owner’s tender, a 3.5-metre service tender and two jet skis. The telescopic crane and clear deck space allow for safe and orderly handling operations, keeping the tenders and water toys away from the main guest areas.

The interiors of LOUNGE 40 are entrusted to Hot Lab. The design was conceived alongside the yacht’s architecture: furnishings, materials, lighting and glazed surfaces interact with the volumes and the surrounding landscape, creating contemporary, welcoming and cohesive environments.

The origins of Antonini Navi date back to the second half of the 1940s, when Walter Antonini founded the first company of the Group. Today, Pertusola is one of the largest shipyard facilities in La Spezia and represents the operational heart of Antonini Navi. CONSTRUCTION FOR THIRD PARTIES Our shipyard has gained solid experience in the construction of hulls and superstructures, both in steel and aluminum, as well as in the development of onboard systems, insulation, and part of the outfitting. We have collaborated with some of the most renowned international brands in the superyacht industry, making a tangible contribution outstanding to the construction of yachts. We are recognized for our quality, precision, and reliability. This journey has strengthened both our expertise and our reputation in the shipbuilding sector.
